Distillery Pilavas is one of the most traditional Greek distilleries.
Started in 1940 and run by three generations, it distills ouzo, tsipouro, mastiha and a wide range of liqueurs.
1940: Nikos Pilavas (first generation), founder of the company, comes from Chios to Patras
1950: Foundation of the first family distillery of Patras
1976: Nikos Pilavas introduces his son Panayiotis to the secrets of distilling ouzo
1990: The sons of Panayiotis Pilavas, Nikos and Perikles (third generation) take over the business, and move it to a modern facility with a production capacity of 6,000 bottles per hour

Pilavas Ouzo is one of the world’s most famous ouzo brands, which is available in as many as 37 different packages.
Strictly adhering to the secret recipe from the 1940s, the ouzo remains in the cauldrons for 2-3 months after distillation. This process gives ouzo a smooth, sweet flavor that makes it easy to enjoy.
